After a summer away we have headed back to Methven to check in on the house and enjoy some downtime. Methven is great in April - the autumn colours still vivid, Scarecrow trail is always a highlight and we enjoyed sunny afternoons on the deck.
The apple tree was full so we stewed a heap of apples to freeze for crumble and pies. We've also made a list of small updates to get on with over the winter season including updating flooring. However, most fun was had at the bike park - despite the cloud! Charlie, our rough collie also loved being back to his familiar second home.
The Methven Scarecrow Trail runs until Sunday 19th April.
